Matchmaking in Singapore: one introduction a week, no swiping
Matchmaking in Singapore, without a feed to scroll: WeMet chooses one introduction a week and tells you why before you see a photo.
WeMet (wemet.dating) is a modern matchmaking service for adults in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States and Canada. No swiping and no chat: WeMet uses AI to choose one introduction a week, when there is someone who fits what you both said you want, and explains why before you see a photo. Introductions open city by city.

What modern matchmaking means in Singapore
A matchmaker used to be a person who knew two people and thought they should meet. Dating apps replaced that with a feed: you browse, you swipe, you message, and you hope.
Modern matchmaking keeps the old idea and drops the feed. Someone, or something, chooses for you. You read why. You decide. Then you meet.
If you have searched for a matchmaker in Singapore, a dating agency or a way to find a partner, that is usually what you are after: fewer choices, made with more care, aimed at a real relationship.
If you have used dating apps, you may know the usual frustrations: a long list to get through, several conversations at once, messages that fade before anyone suggests a time. When your week is already full, the hours spent browsing and messaging are the first thing to go. WeMet takes the browsing out.
How WeMet works
- Take the quiz. It has 25 questions and it is free. You get one of eight WeMet types. Some questions are adapted from well-studied personality research; the eight types are WeMet's own way of describing your results. It is not a clinical or diagnostic test.
- Build your profile. You verify your mobile number and email, then add a profile and photos. Joining takes one photo. You need at least 3 approved photos and a photo check before your first introduction. The photo guide shows how to choose photos that look like you.
- Get one introduction a week, when there is someone. WeMet's AI chooses from what you both said you want. When introductions open where you live, a letter arrives on Wednesday at 7pm your time. Some weeks there will be no one. We will tell you either way.
- Read why, then see the photo. The letter is signed WeMet. You read why we think you would get on, then you see their photo, then you say yes or no. You have three days to decide.
- A shared yes, then a real meeting. Once you both say yes, you'll both see each other's contact details straight away, and you can also chat for up to 7 days to plan a meeting. There is no inbox to manage.
When introductions open where you live, the introduction arrives as a sealed envelope that opens only when you tap it; it never opens by itself. A person usually reviews the weekly list before it goes out.
How it differs from swiping apps and from a personal matchmaker
A swiping app gives you a feed and leaves the choosing to you. WeMet has no feed and no swiping. There is no chat between members before you both say yes. Once you both say yes, you'll both see each other's contact details straight away, and you can also chat for up to 7 days to plan a meeting. There is nothing to scroll.
A traditional personal matchmaker typically interviews you, searches by hand and often charges a membership or package fee. WeMet is not a traditional matchmaking agency: no one interviews you or searches by hand. It is free to join, and its AI works from what you and the other person each said you want, and from what it learns as you respond. Hard rules, such as age range, distance, children, smoking and relationship goal, are never learned. WeMet never shows a compatibility percentage.
Our longer comparison is in matchmaker vs dating apps vs WeMet. If you would like a person to run your search, there is an optional Private Matchmaking service. It is separate from membership and provided by IDO (I DO International Pty Ltd), a related company, on its own terms and prices. It starts only with your explicit consent, and WeMet never receives IDO's database.
Matchmaking across Singapore
You can join from anywhere in Singapore. Your postal code sets the distance, and distance is counted as travel time, not kilometres on a map.
Introductions have started in Singapore. Other cities open one by one, when enough suitable members are nearby. An introduction never crosses countries, so a Singapore profile is only ever introduced to someone in Singapore.
When there is a yes on both sides, a first meeting works well somewhere easy. Singapore is warm, humid and often wet, so a roof or a fallback helps: a table at a kopitiam, a gallery such as National Gallery Singapore, or a morning walk in the Singapore Botanic Gardens when the forecast is dry. For people who want a relationship
WeMet is made by Deeplay Pty Ltd in Sydney, for adults who want a real relationship. Members are 18 or over (19 or 21 where local law says so). Respect is part of the deal; read the standards and the about page. Support is open every day, 09:00 to 21:00 Sydney time, in English and Chinese, and a person sends every reply.

The quiz and the type report are free, and you can try the quiz before you sign up. Your answers stay on your device until you create an account.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a matchmaker in Singapore that doesn't use swiping?

How much does it cost to join WeMet in Singapore?
Joining is free. Building your profile, verification and introductions are free too. The optional paid plans, Plus and the Prime Circle, are not open yet; their prices for each country are on the WeMet pricing page, and payments start only after their terms are published.
Has WeMet started introducing people in Singapore?
Yes. Introductions have started in Singapore. Other cities open one by one, when enough suitable members are nearby. You can join now, take the quiz and build your profile.
How is WeMet different from a traditional matchmaker or dating agency?
A traditional matchmaker typically interviews you and searches by hand, often for a membership or package fee. WeMet is free to join. Its AI chooses from what you both said you want and what it learns from feedback, and a person usually reviews the weekly list. WeMet is not a traditional matchmaking agency: no one interviews you or searches by hand.
How does WeMet check members?
Members verify their mobile number and email. A photo check compares a selfie with the main profile photo before anyone appears to another member, and every photo is human-approved. WeMet does not ask for government identification, such as an NRIC or passport. A photo check does not verify age, legal identity or background.
What happens in a week when no one fits?
Then we say so. Some weeks there will be no one. We will tell you either way. WeMet only makes an introduction when there is someone who fits what you both said you want, so a quiet week is part of how it works.
Can I join from any part of Singapore?
Yes. You join with a mobile number and an email code, and your postal code decides distance and country. Distance is worked out as travel time. Introductions never cross countries, so a Singapore profile is only ever introduced to someone in Singapore.
