Version 2026-10-22
WeMet Terms of Use
Effective 22 October 2026.
WeMet is a modern matchmaking service for adults who are looking for a genuine relationship. It is operated by Deeplay Pty Ltd (ACN 690 506 079, ABN 68 690 506 079), a company registered in New South Wales, Australia ("WeMet", "we", "us").
These Terms of Use are a contract between you and Deeplay Pty Ltd. You accept them when you create your account. Section 11 explains how later versions apply to you. If you do not agree to them, do not use WeMet.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law, under New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 if you live in New Zealand, or under any other law that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the law of the country, state or province where you live; if a part of these Terms would take away such a right, that part does not apply to you to that extent.
1. Who can use WeMet
To use WeMet you must:
- be at least 18 years old, or older in these places: 19 in Alabama and Nebraska in the United States and in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon in Canada, and 21 in Mississippi (we confirm this from the date of birth you give us before the questionnaire and, where the minimum age depends on it, your ZIP or postal code);
- be looking for a genuine relationship with another adult;
- live in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States or Canada;
- have a mobile number from the country you live in that can receive text messages, and verify it (section 2);
- give us accurate and current information about yourself, and keep it accurate;
- hold only one WeMet account, in your own name, and not have been removed from WeMet before;
- be able to enter into a binding agreement under the law that applies to you.
2. Your account and how you sign in
You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code that we send to it by text message. There is no password. You can also sign in with your email address and a one-time code that we send to it; members who joined with an email address before sign-in by mobile number began sign in that way until they add their mobile number. You are responsible for keeping access to your mobile number and your email address secure, and for everything done through your account. Anyone who can receive the text messages sent to your number can sign in to your account, so tell us at once if you lose your number or think someone else has used your account.
Joining needs a mobile number from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States or Canada, and an email address. We send a one-time code to each, and you type the codes back to us; then you give us your date of birth. Your account is not finished until you have done this. A number that is already verified on another WeMet account cannot be verified again, unless that account was closed by its owner while it was in good standing.
A United States or Canadian number must be a mobile number. We use Twilio, our text message provider, to check what kind of line a United States number is, usually before we send a code to it; if that check cannot be made at the time, we may send the code anyway and make the check before we accept the number. We do not accept a United States number until we have asked Twilio about it, or a number Twilio reports as an internet (VoIP), landline or other non-mobile line, as not a valid number, or as a number from outside the United States and Canada. We do not check Canadian numbers (numbers with a Canadian area code) this way.
When you close your account, your mobile number can no longer be used to sign in to it, and it can be used to join WeMet again. If we have suspended or removed your account, the number stays with that account.
We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being used by someone other than its owner, was created with false information, or breaks these Terms.
2a. Text messages
WeMet sends you one-time codes by text message and, if your mobile number is Australian, a few service messages. We send a code to your mobile number each time one is requested for it, to sign you in or to confirm the number. If your mobile number is Australian, we may also send you: one reminder if you stop partway through joining; one reminder about three days after you have one step left; and, after you and a member we introduced you to both say yes and confirm a first meeting, a message that the meeting is confirmed and a reminder about a day before it; and, if you have not replied to a message in your introduction chat for 12 hours, a reminder, at most twice in a chat. Each of these holds a short line and a link, never another member's name or details, and we send them between 09:00 and 21:00 your time. If an IDO matchmaker writes to you through WeMet and you gave only an Australian mobile number, the message may also reach you by text message (section 4). We do not send marketing by text message.
Message frequency varies: one message each time a code is requested for your number, and at most the service messages described above. Message and data rates may apply.
Our codes are sent through Twilio Verify, a service of Twilio, our text message provider, from numbers or sender names that Twilio chooses, and nobody at WeMet reads replies to them. You can reply STOP to a code to stop receiving messages from the number or sender it came from, or HELP for help. Twilio handles these replies, not WeMet, and they may not work in every country. If you reply STOP, codes may no longer reach you: you can still sign in with your email address and a one-time code (section 2). To receive codes again, reply START to the number or sender you sent STOP to (this may not work in every country either), or contact us for help.
Our other text messages come from one Australian number, through Twilio. You can reply STOP to any of them to stop our text messages other than sign-in codes. Nobody at WeMet reads other replies to them.
For help with text messages or anything else, email support@wemet.dating or use the chat on our website or in the app. Our support team is available every day from 09:00 to 21:00 Sydney time.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If a code does not arrive, ask for a new one or sign in with your email address.
We share your mobile number with Twilio only to send you codes and our text messages, to check the codes you type, to learn whether you replied STOP and, for a United States number, to check what kind of line it is. We never share it, or the records of the messages we send you, with anyone for marketing. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle your number.
3. Verification and review before you appear to others
Your profile is shown to another member only when all of these are true: your account is active, a person at WeMet has approved the main photo on your profile, and that same photo has passed our photo check, either the automatic check, for which you give a separate consent, or the check a person does (below). Until then, your profile is not shown to anyone.
The photo check compares a selfie you take at the time with the main photo on your profile. If a person has not yet reviewed your main photo, the automatic check first makes sure that it shows exactly one face. The check is automatic and is done by Amazon Rekognition in Sydney, except in the places listed below; the Privacy Policy explains what is kept. You can do the check before a person has reviewed your main photo, but your profile is shown to others only once that photo is approved. The check looks only at whether the two photos show the same person and, when it checks your main photo first, whether that photo shows one face. It is not an identity check. It does not check your age, your legal identity or your background. We never ask for, look at or keep a government identity document.
If you live in Illinois, Texas or Washington in the United States, or in Quebec in Canada, or we do not yet know which state or province you live in and you may live in the United States or Canada, a person on our team compares your selfie with your main photo instead, and no face-recognition software is used. You are not asked for the consent the automatic check needs: when the person approves your selfie, your photo check has passed, as it would after the automatic check. You can send a selfie for a person to check five times in any 24 hours, unless our support team resets your attempts; a selfie that we could not keep for the check does not count.
An earlier version of these Terms described a video call in which you showed a photo identity document. That method has been withdrawn. Nobody at WeMet can mark a member as verified by hand, except by approving a selfie sent for a person to check as described above.
You can try the automatic photo check five times in any 24 hours, unless our support team resets your attempts. If your main photo is checked first and does not show exactly one face, the check stops and does not count as an attempt. The one-face check on your main photo can run at most ten times in any 24 hours, whatever it finds (a check that a technical fault interrupts may also count); after that, you need to wait before trying again. If you change your main photo, or a person does not approve it, the check must be done again. You can join the founding-member waitlist before your photo check has passed, but we cannot introduce you to anyone until it has. You can withdraw your consent to the automatic photo check at any time from your profile. Your profile is then hidden until you verify again.
We can decline or remove a photo, and withdraw a verification, if we cannot tell that the photos are of you or if the content breaks the Standards below. We will tell you the outcome. We may change the verification method; if we do, we will describe the new method here before it applies to you.
The photo check only checks that your selfie and your main photo show the same person. The Prime Circle check (section 8b) is a separate check that a person on our team does only if you ask for it.
4. What WeMet does
With WeMet you can create an account, take the WeMet type questionnaire and read your type report, share a card showing your type, build your profile, have your photos reviewed, verify your photo, and join the founding-member waitlist. We open introductions city by city, and we only ever introduce members who live in the same country.
Some questions in the WeMet type questionnaire are adapted from well-studied personality research; the eight types are WeMet's own way of describing your results. The questionnaire is not a clinical or diagnostic test, and your type is not a prediction of who you will get on with. WeMet is new: once enough members have taken the questionnaire, we may refine how answers map to the types, and if your type changes, we will tell you.
If you share your type card, the card and its link show your type and, if you chose one, the picture you chose for it, and carry your invite code, but not your name, your photo or any other detail about you unless you choose to add it.
Weekly introductions. Where introductions have opened and you take part that week, a computer program may choose one member a week to introduce you to, from what you both told us; some weeks there is no one. Where introductions have opened, you take part automatically once you can be introduced, unless you pause; you can pause and resume taking part at any time in the app. If you are in the WeMet Prime Circle (section 8b), our program may also choose one Prime Circle introduction a week for you. The Privacy Policy (section 3b) explains how introductions are chosen. Each introduction comes as a letter, signed by WeMet and written with the help of AI from facts our program chose, which tells you why we introduced you before you see the other member's photos. A letter can be incomplete or wrong: it is not a promise about the other person or that you will get on, and we do not verify what members tell us about themselves (the Prime Circle check in section 8b is the only exception, and only for what it checks). In the first weeks after introductions open in an area, a person on our team reviews the week's introductions before they are sent. The reviewer can stop an introduction, or pair a member with someone else who meets every rule in the Privacy Policy (section 3b), and the week's letters may wait until the review is finished; depending on how the review is set up that week, an introduction nobody has reviewed is either sent as our program chose it or not sent that week.
You have three days to say yes or no to an introduction. If either of you says no, or the three days pass, the introduction ends for both of you. If you both say yes, we show each of you the other's first name and contact details (Privacy Policy section 4a), and we can help you plan a first meeting; section 5 says what you may use the contact details for. Whether, when and where you meet is up to you both.
Introduction chat. After you both say yes, you can write to each other in a short chat inside WeMet for up to seven days. It is plain text only (no links, files or photos) and closes when you confirm a first meeting, when the seven days pass, or when either of you ends it while it is open; ending it also ends the introduction for both of you and WeMet stops showing your contact details to each other. Messages are sent to an AI check, and WeMet may hold a message for a person to review, keep it back, or end the chat (section 7), which also ends the introduction. WeMet's AI assistant may post questions and meeting ideas in the chat; they are labelled as WeMet's and never written for you. The Privacy Policy (section 4b) explains how the chat works and how long messages are kept. There is no other messaging between members on WeMet.
Writing help. We can suggest how to improve your profile and, if you ask, draft a self-introduction with AI from the answers you choose or the words you type. You decide whether to use a suggestion, and you save it yourself. Every self-introduction is checked before another member sees it: automatically and by AI, or by a person on our team if the AI cannot check it (section 6).
Invite a friend. When someone creates a WeMet account through your invite link and, within 14 days, joins the founding-member waitlist for the first time, you each get a free second introduction, up to five for each person who invites. You do not get one for inviting yourself, and accounts we close, suspend or use for testing do not count. A free second introduction lets you ask for one more introduction in a week when your introduction ended without you both saying yes, if there is someone else who fits. You can use it only once we offer second introductions where you live, and we will tell you when you can. It has no cash value and cannot be transferred. We tell you how many you have, never who joined. We may stop offering new free second introductions at any time.
We do not create fake profiles, invented activity or inflated member counts. WeMet does not conduct criminal background screening of its members.
If something is wrong, tell us through the chat on our website or in the app, or by email to hello@wemet.dating. Section 7 says what we do with a report.
Private Matchmaking is an optional service of I DO International Pty Ltd (ACN 625 201 685) ("IDO"), which runs IDO Matchmaking, a professional matchmaking business. IDO is a separate company from Deeplay Pty Ltd. The person who founded WeMet and runs Deeplay Pty Ltd also owns IDO. IDO provides the service on its own terms and sets any fees. Deeplay Pty Ltd receives no referral fee or other benefit from IDO for passing on a request. We pass your request to IDO, share your WeMet profile with IDO's matchmakers, or let them view it, only at your explicit request and with the separate consent for each, as described in the Privacy Policy (section 6) and on each consent screen.
We cannot guarantee that you will be introduced to anyone in any week, that you will meet anyone, that anyone will respond to you, or that any person you meet through WeMet is who they say they are. This is the same whether or not you pay for anything. The photo check and the Prime Circle check reduce some risks; they do not remove them. They are not identity, background, criminal-record or credit checks, and a Prime Circle result says nothing about anyone's finances after the date of the check. Take the same care you would when meeting anyone new.
5. Standards: what is not allowed
If you receive another member's contact details through WeMet (Privacy Policy section 4a), you may use them only to arrange and attend your meeting with that member: you must not share them with anyone or use them for marketing or any other purpose, and you must not use them to contact that member after your introduction ends unless you both want to stay in touch.
In the introduction chat, you must not ask for or offer money, loans, investments, payment details or gifts, harass anyone, send sexual content or requests, threaten anyone, or try to get around our checks (for example by writing to the check or hiding words). We may hold or keep back such a message and end the chat.
You must not use WeMet to do, offer, request or arrange any of the following, on or off the platform:
- commercial services of any kind, or any transactional or paid arrangement between members;
- asking for, offering or sending money, gifts, payment details or financial support to or from another member — WeMet has no member-to-member payment feature and never will;
- dishonesty about your identity, age, photos, relationship status or intentions;
- harassment, threats, pressure, hate, discrimination or abuse;
- sexually explicit content or imagery anywhere on WeMet;
- any contact with, or content involving, a person under 18;
- impersonation, scams, spam, advertising, recruiting members to other services, or any unlawful activity;
- automated access, scraping, bulk messaging, or attempts to bypass our limits, verification or security;
- sharing another member's photos or personal information outside WeMet;
- uploading a false or altered document, or someone else's document or photo, for any check;
- using another member's "Verified" category, or anything you learn about their income or assets, to ask them for money, gifts, investments or financial support, or telling anyone else about it.
6. Your content
You own the photos and profile text you put on WeMet. You give us a licence to store, display and process that content only as needed to operate WeMet for you and the members we introduce you to, to keep members safe, and to comply with the law. That licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies we must keep for the reasons in the Privacy Policy.
We do not edit or rewrite member content; our writing help only suggests text that you choose whether to use. A self-introduction that our checks flag is not shown until a person on our team approves it, and if it breaks these Terms we remove it and tell you why in general terms. If a photo breaks these Terms, we remove it and tell you why. If we act on your account, we tell you the outcome, and you can email us to ask for the reason.
7. Safety, reports and enforcement
You can report a concern through the chat on our website or in the app, or by email to hello@wemet.dating. You can also report a message in an introduction chat from inside it (section 4). A person at WeMet reviews every report. Our support team is available every day from 09:00 to 21:00 Sydney time. We acknowledge a safety report within 2 hours when it reaches us in those hours. A person sends every reply in the chat, and may use AI writing tools to help write it, as the Privacy Policy explains; the acknowledgement always comes from a person. Automatic notices, such as our message outside support hours, are sent without a person. WeMet is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number: 000 in Australia, 111 in New Zealand, 999 in Singapore (995 for an ambulance), or 911 in the United States and Canada.
We may hold or keep back a message in an introduction chat, end the chat, remove a photo, remove a "Verified" category or remove you from the Prime Circle, suspend or close an account, and decline future registrations, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken. If we remove you from the Prime Circle, we refund your unused Prime Circle picks (section 8b). If we close your account, we also refund your unused picks, and Plus ends with no further charge; we refund the rest of a month you have paid for only where the law requires it. Every enforcement decision is recorded with a reason. You may ask us to review a decision by emailing us. No member is suspended by an automated system alone.
Where the law requires it, we cooperate with Australian law enforcement and regulators.
8. Fees
Joining WeMet, building your profile, the photo check and the weekly introduction are free. Where and when we offer them, you can also buy two optional products: WeMet Plus, a monthly subscription (section 8a), and the WeMet Prime Circle, a one-off purchase for Plus members (section 8b). Section 8c explains payments, receipts, taxes and refunds. We may offer a paid product in some countries before others, and our pricing page and the checkout show where it is offered. Sections 8a to 8c apply to you only if you apply for the Prime Circle check or buy one of these products, and you accept them when you apply or at checkout.
Every price we show is the total you pay, including any GST, sales tax or other tax that applies. WeMet never charges per message or per meeting, WeMet never takes a commission or a success fee on any relationship, and no member ever pays another member through WeMet.
Where the law of the place where you live gives you a cooling-off period or another right to cancel a purchase and get your money back (for example in Queensland, in some states of the United States, or in Quebec), you have that right as well as the rights in these Terms, and we will honour it. If the law of your state requires us to give you a written notice or a cooling-off period before you buy, we will give it to you before you pay. To use it, email support@wemet.dating or use the chat on our website or in the app.
Private Matchmaking is a separate service provided by the matchmaking business named on the consent screen; any fees for it are agreed between you and that business, not with WeMet.
8a. WeMet Plus
Where we offer it. We offer Plus only in countries where weekly introductions have opened, and only while we show it on our pricing page and at checkout. Your first payment is taken when you buy Plus at checkout.
Price. Plus costs A$24.99 a month in Australia, NZ$29.99 a month in New Zealand, S$24.99 a month in Singapore, US$29.99 a month in the United States and C$24.99 a month in Canada. You pay in the currency of the country you are registered in on WeMet (the country on your profile, which must be the country of your mobile number); you cannot choose another. Each price is the total you pay, including any GST or sales tax.
Renewal. Plus renews every month, on the day your paid month ends, and we charge the card you paid with (or a card you later give us for Plus) on each renewal until you cancel. Stripe renews it automatically; we do not send a separate reminder before each renewal. You receive a receipt by email for every payment, and the email confirming your first Plus purchase says how to cancel.
Cancelling. You can cancel Plus at any time, online, from your account in WeMet, without contacting us or giving a reason; you can also ask us to cancel it by email or in the chat. When you cancel, nothing more is charged, and Plus keeps working until the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not refund part of a month, except under section 8c, where the law requires it, or where section 8 says a local cooling-off or cancellation right applies.
What Plus includes. Plus gives you the extra features described on our pricing page and at checkout when you buy it. Some of them may open later than others or only where introductions run, and the pricing page says so. If we remove a Plus feature, we tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel.
What Plus does not do. Plus never gives you more weekly introductions and never gives you priority over other members: our program chooses weekly introductions in the same way whether or not you have Plus. If Plus includes a new introduction after one ends without a date (as our pricing page says), it follows the same rules and comes only when someone fits; some weeks there is no one. You do not need Plus for the free weekly introduction. Plus has nothing to do with who pays on a date. Prime Circle introductions come only with the separately paid Prime Circle (section 8b).
Price changes. We may change the price of Plus. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before then. A new price never applies to a month you have already paid for.
8b. WeMet Prime Circle
The WeMet Prime Circle is an optional group of Plus members who have each passed a check, done by a person on our team, in at least one of three categories: looks, income or assets. Where we offer it, members of the Prime Circle can be introduced to each other, in addition to the free weekly introduction. Where and when we offer it, the Prime Circle is open only to members registered in Australia or Singapore.
Who can join. To join, you must have Plus (section 8a), pass the check in at least one category (below), and pay the Prime Circle price. Paying alone never gets anyone in, and the check is the same for every member whatever their gender. Applying for the check is free, and you pay only after you pass. If you do not pass, you are not charged anything, and you can apply again in the same category after 90 days.
The check. You choose the categories you want checked. Looks: you first pass the photo check (section 3); then a person on our team looks at your approved photos and decides whether you pass. The result is pass or fail only: we do not give or keep a score, and we never tell other members why anyone did not pass. Income: you upload your payslips for the last three months, or your most recent tax notice of assessment; to pass, your gross income must be at least A$180,000 a year in Australia or S$150,000 a year in Singapore. Assets: you upload bank or investment statements dated within the last 90 days; to pass, your investable assets must total at least A$1,000,000 in Australia or S$1,000,000 in Singapore, not counting the home you live in. If we offer the Prime Circle in another country, we will add its amounts to these Terms first.
Your documents. A person on our team reviews what you upload. We delete the documents as soon as the check is decided (Privacy Policy section 8). We keep only the result: the category, pass or fail, the date, when it ends and who decided. We do not run a credit check, contact your employer, bank or tax office, or ask for government identification. Before you upload a document, cover any tax file number, national identity, NRIC or FIN number, social security or social insurance number, and full bank or account numbers; we do not need them. If a document still shows one, we may delete it and ask you to upload it again with the number covered.
You must upload only genuine, unaltered documents about yourself. Uploading a false or altered document, or someone else's, breaks these Terms (section 5).
A pass is valid for 12 months. To stay in the Prime Circle after that, you must pass the check again.
Price and picks. The Prime Circle costs A$299 in Australia or S$299 in Singapore, paid once, including any GST, for four picks. A pick is used only when you and the member you were introduced to in the Prime Circle both say yes. If either of you says no, or the three days pass, no pick is used. Your picks do not expire while you have Plus and a current pass. When all four picks are used, you leave the Prime Circle, and you can buy it again.
Prime Circle introductions. While you have unused picks, Plus and a current pass, our program may choose at most one Prime Circle introduction a week for you, only from other Prime Circle members, and only when there is someone who fits; some weeks there is no one, and we will tell you. It is in addition to your free weekly introduction, arrives at the same time in a letter marked as a Prime Circle introduction, and works in the same way: three days to answer, one reminder a day before the end, and the same rules about who can be introduced (Privacy Policy section 3b). When you join, you choose one category (looks, income or assets) that the members you are introduced to in the Prime Circle must have passed. A Prime Circle letter shows which categories each of you passed, for example "Verified: income", never an amount, a document or a score.
No promise of introductions. We cannot promise how many Prime Circle introductions you will get, how soon, or that anyone will say yes. "Verified" means only that a person on our team saw documents or photos that met the amount or standard above on the date of the check. It is not a statement about anyone's identity, character, intentions or financial position today, and you must not rely on it to make any financial decision about another person.
Refunds of unused picks. You can ask for a refund of your unused picks at any time, by email to support@wemet.dating or in the chat. We refund A$74.75 in Australia or S$74.75 in Singapore for each unused pick (a quarter of the price), with no fee, to the card you paid with; we issue it within five business days, and your bank may take a few more days to show it. You can tell us why, if you want to. Once your picks are refunded, you leave the Prime Circle. We do not refund picks automatically just because a week passes with no one who fits; you need to ask. We never refuse a request to refund unused picks. We also refund your unused picks ourselves, without you having to ask, if you close your account, if we close it or remove you from the Prime Circle (section 7), or if we stop offering the Prime Circle.
If your Plus ends, or your pass is not renewed, your Prime Circle introductions pause and your unused picks are kept for 12 months; they start again when you have Plus and a current pass again. After those 12 months your unused picks can no longer be used for introductions, but you can still ask for their refund at any time.
Leaving. You can leave the Prime Circle, or withdraw your consent to the check, at any time (Privacy Policy section 12). We then stop showing your "Verified" categories and stop Prime Circle introductions, and you can ask for a refund of your unused picks. An introduction already under way is not affected.
8c. Payments, receipts, taxes and refunds
Payments to WeMet are made to Deeplay Pty Ltd and processed by Stripe, our payment provider. You enter your card details on Stripe's payment page; WeMet never sees or stores your full card number or security code. Our charges will appear on your card statement as WEMET.DATING or WEMET. You receive a receipt by email for every payment and every refund; the email confirming your Plus purchase also says how to cancel.
If a renewal payment fails, we tell you by email and the payment is tried again over the following days. If it has still not succeeded within 14 days, Plus ends and nothing more is charged.
Apart from the refunds in sections 7, 8, 8a, 8b and 9, we do not refund payments, except where the law requires it. A refund goes to the card you paid with.
Nothing in these Terms limits a right you have under the Australian Consumer Law, New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other consumer law of the country, state or province where you live, including a right to a refund or another remedy when a service is not provided as promised.
If you dispute a payment with your bank instead of asking us first, we may pause the product in dispute while the dispute is open. Your free membership is not affected.
9. Ending your account
You can close your account at any time from your profile screen. Your profile is hidden at once and any introduction you have under way ends. Closing is final: a closed account cannot be reopened. If we have suspended or removed your account, closing it does not undo that decision.
If you have Plus, closing your account cancels it: nothing more is charged, and we do not refund the rest of a month you have paid for, except where the law requires it. If you have unused Prime Circle picks, we refund them (section 8b).
Closing your account does not delete most of your information. The Privacy Policy (section 8) explains what closing deletes, what we keep, and how to ask us to delete it.
We may close your account if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering WeMet. If we stop offering WeMet we will give you reasonable notice where we can.
10. Our responsibility to you
We provide WeMet with due care and skill and as described in these Terms. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the conduct of other members, for what happens when members meet in person, or for loss that we could not reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer guarantee, or any liability, that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If you live in New Zealand, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. Wherever you live, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a right, remedy or liability that the law where you live does not allow to be excluded or limited. If you pay for Plus or the Prime Circle, these rights apply to them too.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. Each version has a version number and an effective date, and we publish it on this page no later than the day it takes effect. If a change is material, we also tell you about it in WeMet where you will see it, such as a notice in the app. If a change takes away or reduces a right you have under these Terms, or gives you a new obligation, we will ask you to accept the new version before it applies to you, and we will keep a record of the version you accepted. Any other change applies to you from its effective date if you keep using WeMet; if you do not agree with it, you can close your account at any time (section 9). Our notice about a new version may have a button, such as "Got it"; tapping it records that you have read and accept that version, with the time, your IP address and your browser details, but using WeMet never depends on tapping it. Small corrections that do not change your rights take effect when published. Every new member accepts the version in effect when they join. A change to the price of Plus follows section 8a. A change to these Terms never takes away a Prime Circle pick you have already paid for, and never changes the price of a period you have already paid for.
12. General
These Terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live. If part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. WeMet is offered only in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States and Canada, and in each of these countries only once joining has opened there.
